School Council

The School Council - and Class Councils -  play an important part in the life of the school, with the ideas and opinions of the children highly valued.  Meeting at least once each fornight, the children post their ideas and suggestions on this site, with some of the outcomes.  Thursday Assembly time is given for feedback to the rest of the school, with a record kept in our Assembly Logbook.

School Council Meeting - Wednesday, 18th January, 2012.

Agenda Items discussed:

  • World Book Day to be combined with Culture Day, because of available time.
  • Relay Day discussed, to raise money for Cancer charity - Walk the Walk.  Will possibly be intergated with Sports Day or Summer Fete.
  • School Council display to go up in entrance foyer with profiles of each member.

School Council Meeting - Thursday, 5th January, 2012.

Agenda Items discussed:

  • Whacky Hair Day to be held on the last day of the Spring Term, 2012, which is a non-uniform day.
  • Culture Day proposed, where classes go into groups of mixed ages to learn about a different culture or country.  This idea will go to Monday's Leadership Team Meeting.
  • Year 6 Assemblies proposed, where each house would take an assembly each half term, involving about 8 children each time.
  • World Book Day dressing-up option proposed, as we didn't do it last year.
  • A request was made that Mr Clare empties the roof of balls more frequently.
