Introduction

The Board of Governors meet four times during the academic year, with a variety of committees delegated to carry out the tasks listed below:

  • The Curriculum Committee meets termly and is responsible for all curriculum related issues
  • The Personnel Committee meets termly and is responsible for staff related issues and pupil related matters
  • The Premises/ Health and Safety  Committee meets termly and is responsible for the upkeep of the buildings and grounds, whilst being responsible for ensuring that the school environment is a safe and happy place
  • The Finance Committee meets as necessary and is responsible for managing the school budget
  • The Admissions Committee meets as necessary and is responsible for the school's admissions policy
  • The Health and Safety Committee meets termly and is responsible for ensuring that the school environment is a safe and happy place
  • The Salary Committee meets termly
  • The Staff Discipline and Appeals Committees only meet if required

Governors also have individual responsibilities for monitoring the delivery of the school curriculum.
