  • 10th March, 2008: The school received written confirmation that it had been granted National Healthy School Status.  At the meeting of thne Quality Assurance Group, on Thursday, 6th March, 2008, members highlighted the following good practice at Elmstead Primary School - Whole School Approach and Pupil Voice.

     
  • 13th March, 2008: Alice, Holly, Imogen, Nick, Connor, Chavez and Kieran - in Class 6 - received a letter from the RSPCA, thanking them for raising over forty four pounds for their charity.

  • 10th February, 2008:  We received a letter from the Department for Children, Schools and Families, confirming that Elmstead Primary School had been awarded Activemark 2007. "Activemark 2007 rewards exceptional delivery of the National School Sport Strategy."

  • 7th February, 2008:  The Walk Through Bible Ministries congratulated the school on raising one hundred pounds towards the work done at Bible Explorer.

  • 25th January, 2008:  Dream 100 Radio visited the school prior to receiving Chris' Top School Dinner Certificate, as part of Dream 100's crusade to praise school dinners across North Essex.

  • 10th January, 2008: The Make-A-Wish Foundation wrote to the school thanking us for the donation of seventy five pounds following the collection made at our Christmas Infant Performance.

  • 4th January, 2008:  WaterAid wrote to the school and thanked us for the donation of thirty two pounds, raised by members of Year 6 during Charity Week.

  • 26th October, 2007: We received a letter from OfSTED informing us that Elmstead Primary School was being added to the Outstanding Providers List 2006/2007.  This entitled us to have the 'outstanding' logo on our letterhead.
